Community council — attending / agenda item — Dalkeith

Subject: Community council — attending / agenda item — Dalkeith

Dear Community Council,

I am a resident of Dalkeith ward (Midlothian).

I would like to attend the next public meeting and, if appropriate, table a short item: [ONE ISSUE].

Held public figures for this ward (Community Shield Scotland — official sources only):
• Children in low income: 10.1% — 323 children · before housing costs · FYE 2025. Source: DWP CiLIF.
• 16.8% of people here live in Scotland’s most deprived fifth of areas. Source: SIMD 2020v2, rolled from data zones to this ward.
• In the 2022 local election, Scottish Labour Party led on first preferences (46% of first preferences).
• Community assets held for this ward: 24 (6 schools · 1 GP · 4 pharmacy).

What I am asking:
1. Confirm the next public meeting date and how to submit an agenda item
2. A written reply before that meeting

These counts describe the ward. They do not say who committed a crime or who is to blame. I am not asking you to treat residents as offenders.

Yours sincerely,
